Registered and then Deregistered after 2 years

I have been studying through UNISA for two years,
and now, after my October/November examinations,
I am unable to study through UNISA due to the fact that my "ID was incorrectly certified"...
thus my four distinctions in the last examination period mean squat, I need to physically go into a UNISA branch,
and re-submit my ID document with the "Correct certification" and am unable to do so by email.
what is our country coming to when an education department wont accept a police certified version?
