Contractors won't finish the job!

In November 2012, I contacted Romi Rajaram from an ad on Gumtree for installation of kitchen cupboards. He quoted us for a completed job in two days and we accepted.
On 3 December 2012, we received an email from Romi listing the work to be undertaken, the total cost, the deposit required and the banking details. I duly paid the deposit via EFT.
The work on the kitchen was undertaken by Romi and his father, Vinesh Rajaram, together with their team on 15 December 2012 and 20 December 2012. Only 85 percent of the work was completed. We were promised that the task would be completed on 18 January 2013. In good faith, and being the festive season, I paid Romi the balance of our agreement in cash. We tried contacting them in vain in Jan 2013 as they did not contact us to complete the job.
Vinesh finally turned up at our home on 23 February 2013, and said he required further cash funds to complete the job. I paid him and got a receipt. He said that the job would be completed on 9 March 2013. Vinesh did not pitch up on that date and, once again, is not answering our calls or returning our messages.
