Bad Attitude / Shocking service quality

On 2013/05/06 I purchased a Trimrite vacuum/blower from Builders Warehouse Tableview for R390.00. Today I was using the tool when the blower stopped working. I ensured the blower was clean with no obstacles.
I then packed the blower into the original packaging and went to return it. On arrival I was informed the supplier was closed until the 13th Jan. The returns informed me - Quote "Due to me having purchased the blower more than 6 months ago I would have to wait a further 4 weeks for the repair." Total 6 weeks. I asked her why it was my fault that I purchased it more than 6 months ago. It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure I receive good service.
Next I approached the staff and requested to speak to a manger. The gentleman phoned a Tony who walked straight past us without acknowledging. I then went to the information desk to request the same. Again Tony was contacted and he replied I would have to wait as the supplier was not open, however they would phone me on Monday to inform me how long the repair would take. I informed the lady at info that the supplier was closed until the 13th, she then stated that she could not assist me further. Shocking attitude.
