Laptop kept for a month with no clear feedback

A month ago I sent In my Asus N53SM for repairs as the battery would no longer charge despite the laptop being only a year and half old. Additionally the DVD drive was degrading in performance. After regular requests by phone and email for feedback I was told that the laptop was waiting for parts and was later informed about two weeks ago that it has been repaired and would be shipped back. The laptop did not arrive and during subsequent attempts to obtain information I was told that it was either waiting for parts or that parts had arrived and it was being repaired. Now this week, after they have had it for a month, I am still failing to get a straight answer on the status of the laptop.

I have dealt with several call centre staff but they are all slow to correspond and appear equally clueless as to what is actually occurring in the repair centre. I seriously regret having purchased Asus. At the moment it seems that no one knows what's going on and nothing appears to have been done. This is the worst repair service I have ever experienced.
