Laptop under warranty but faulty

My asus laptop as given my problems almost from day 1 - half the keys on the keyboard simply don't work. I have tried repeatedly to contact asus South Africa, both by email and by phone. When I contact the call centre on 0861278772, I am instructed to call 0861278792 where noone ever picks up. It is too difficult to include all the details here because typing is really hard work with this keyboard. I am at my wits end and want to get rid of this awful laptop as soon as possible and spread the word far and wide that asus should be avoided at all costs unless you like poor products and poor service.
