Absolutely disgusted with service!!!

I purchased a laptop from PC Zone on Friday (26th June 2013). I used the laptop for the first time that evening, and experienced blurring of the screen. When this happened, the screen froze and I had to restart the laptop. This happened 3 times that evening (all within an hour). I took it back to PC Zone the next morning (less than 6 working hours later!) and to my surprise the manager of the store refused to exchange the defected unit that they had sold to me. The manager admitted that there was a software problem (it was shown to him in the store). He kept insisting that the laptop must be sent in for repairs. This is absolutely unacceptable when the Consumer Protection Act clearly says that it could be returned within7days for a full refund or a new unit. The manager seemed to have little knowledge of this act and really gave me hard time. I had to get a family member of mine to phone him (at my own expenses) and explain this act to him. Thereafter he said he will speak to his general manager and then make a decision. He then decided to give me the laptop that was on display at the store. At home, I noticed that the gaming and desktop graphics had reduced-not what i paid for!!
