Property forgotten in bus vanishes

We hired a bus a week ago and forgot our fire extinguisher in the bus on return of the bus. I went to the airport today and decided to go and enquire about the fire extinguisher. I had the bad fortune to be attended to by Talana. I explained the situation to her, but as the bus wasn't hired under my name couldn't give her the booking ref number. In the space of about 5 minutes she must have told me three times what she can't do, ie trace the booking without this and that. I did give her a few clues but she insisted "there is nothing I can do". Whilst talking to me she received a call from a colleague/friend and was so friendly, but abrupt with me. Talana you are in serious need of a customer service training course and should learn to think out of the box, and value clients a lot more. I had to call the manager (who naturally was on the phone) and discuss my irritation with him. He understood a bit better and after asking him to go the extra mile and search a bit harder was prepared to do it. Why do companies give staff no customer service training? I will think twice before I rent from Hertz again, because the staff don't go the extra mile.
