Classic Removals
Couldn't meet contract date then refused to refund

I contracted Classic Removals to do a move down the same road from where I was renting to where I had purchased and then additional items out to my farm in Balgowan. I paid the full amount of their quote as required and was ready on the day of the move. On the day they were supposed to arrive (Monday) they phoned to say they were unable to, but would come the next day. The following day and on the Wednesday, the same problem occurred and in my discussions with their lady, they then told me they had made a mistake on the quote and needed to increase the charge as they had left out the Balgowan leg despite it being in the contract and correspondence. I then told them not to worry as I would get another firm to do the job as I did with the additional charge they were now wanting to impose, they were way more than the other two quotes I had received and I did not feel secure they would arrive on the Thursday and I had to vacate the premises I was in. I thus requested a full refund and contracted another firm. Classic refused to refund any of my monies without reason and only finally did so after I filed an affidavit and a trial date was set.
