Kia Motors South Africa
Faulty Gearbox after just 30000km parts unavailabl

Cars & Transport

We took in our Kia Sportage for its service and reported a problem with the gearbox on the 26th of February. We were informed that the gearbox was faulty and that it had to be fixed. We were advised that the parts would be ordered and would arrive within two days and that the car would be fixed within 5 working days. Since then we have been told various stories which ranges from parts not being available in the country to internal problems in KIA where dealers do not assist each other when parts are not available. Needless to say that we have reached a point that this is no longer acceptable. We have taken up the matter with Kia head office (Jessica) but without success. It is now over 5 weeks since the vehicle was handed in the first time and has still not been fixed. If we do not follow up with them to try and establish wat is happening we do not hear anything from them and feedback supplied is conflicting. This can no longer continue as we need the issue resolved ASAP.
