I have imported items through DHL ZA several times over the past five years. In future I will try and ship with a competitor, this is why :

When a package arrives in ZA, despite the package including my number, your company doesn't contact me. They don't phone to tell me customs duties are payable on the item or that the item has even arrived in South Africa.

When I eventually discover that the item has arrived I have to refer to a 3rd party website for a contact number because your own website is so cryptic.

When I contact that number, I am advised that I need to contact someone else and I am provided with three numbers... when I call those numbers no one answers.

After calling several numbers I eventually get through to someone who asks for my ID number/importers number and e-mail address and then issues an invoice... they also tell me the package will take another 48 hours to clear!

By comparison, at least two of your competitors clear most items without intervention from me, accept credit cards over the phone for payment and phone me on the day the package is to be delivered.

Please consider improving the efficiency of your service.
