C-tech Trading
False offers and address

Electronics and household app.

C-TECH TRADING advertised cameras and electronic goods by e-mail at good prices. I e-mailed them and they responded telephonically saying that the sales person will contact me. "Mr Daniel" contacted me and I placed an order for a 7D Canon camera. They send me the invoice including courier charges which was R300 . This was paid as a EFT into a Nedbank account. I was only then told the item was out of stock, but being imported and that FAST WAY Couriers was handling the shipping. Three days later I got a request from the couriers to pay customs and handling fees for a package that contained extra items I did not purchase. When phoning them, the same sounding Chinese person, but with several different names who cannot sort out the problem as "he is not the manager" answers the phone. They suggest I pay the customs to have the package released (which increases the cost by R3300) for an item quoted in Rands and without any statement of extra costs. The "customs costs" are a second as the courier company (Cape Town) does not answer their cell number.
The address they use on their invoice is actually a HIFI Corp address in East London
