My car was broken into in January 2013 and my insurer arranged with VW The Glen for the car to be repaired. I was told that a part had to be shipped from Germany and that I would have to wait for my car until around mid March 2013 which I understood.

On 14 March 2013 VW advised me that my car was ready for collection and my insurers had to make payment which they only did on 19 March 2013.

I attended to collect my car on 19 March 2013 and firstly, my car had a BLUE panel on my BLACK car, CRAZY!! and secondly, my car struggled to start. When it did start it backfired. The next day I was told that the car needed a cam belt sensor replaced which means my car was not even taken for a test drive prior to me being told to collect it.

Two weeks later and the cam belt sensor replaced and what? the car struggles to start and is backfiring which means that it was not the sensor as alleged.

Trust me, stay away from the incompetence and ignorance of the service team at VW The Glen for your own good and that of your car.
