Scratch on back of ca

I was looking forward to buying a car. Everything went smoothly. When I eventually got the car there were a huge mccarthy toyota sticker on the boot just below A200. The sticker initially didn't bother me but when the car went to Mercedes Wonderboom I asked then to remove it. They wouldn't because of a scratch beneath it. I got insurance that covers scratch repairs but they won't fix it because the scratch come from the suppliers. When I phoned them yesterday, they didn't think its so bad. With no feedback from them. Tha sales consultant got his commision so why would he be willing to help me. (Ps the first time I enquired about the scratch I was told by him to make up a lie. Nobody will know I was told.)
