Having owned 3 BMW's but never having had repairs done at SMG before, I was so taken by the courtesy and helpfulness of everyone that I dealt with at SMG Durban. I have to single out Mr Ernest Rall. His telephone manner is so professional and despite him being more than willing to send a driver to collect me, I got a lift to SMG to collect my vehicle but arrived an hour earlier than arranged. Mr Rall advised that my vehicle was still in the 'wash bay' queue. I told him not to worry about having it washed as it was my fault for being early. To my complete astonishment and despite my protestation's, Mr Rall ushered me to the seating area, offered me a coffee and disappeared to the wash-bay where he proceeded to wash my car himself!! While I (quite sheepishly) waited, I was approached by at least four staff members asking if I needed assistance, more coffee etc. Mr Rall returned then returned and escorted me to my car where I drove off shaking my head in disbelief! Incidentally, I dont drive a 7 Serie's BMW, I drive a five year old 1 Series. Thank you SMG, it was a great please to deal with you.
