Barons Volkswagen
Unpleasant service from workshop personnel

Cars & Transport

I had a breakdown on a year old VW Amarok 2. TDI 4motion and it was subsequently towed to Barons in Pietermaritzburg on the 6th March 2013. To this day the workshop guys including their manager Billy still don't know whats wrong with the car yet they work on it on a daily basis. Whats worse is the service and peoples attitude at this dealership is horrible. I don't think its because of my skin colour or because I went in wearing an "all star"" and torn jeans, its in them. To this day they are refusing to give me a courtesy/loan or pool car. Why? I rely on that car to make ends meet and they are not bothered by that including their VW head office in Uitenhage. The staff at VWSA, i.e. Terrence, Sagheerah, Zukiswa and Brownyn have made promises to assist and resolve the matter but hey I feel its the company's nature to be "useless after sales". You wait on the line for a long time before they can assist you and airtime is costly. I've spent more than R290 on calls on this issue whilst they play some irritating music on the background. If VWSA doesn't have cars am sure AVIS can assist with a Polo if they are serious about customer care and worse I have to honour ABSA come month-end.
