Volkswagen
Jetta dashboard

Cars & Transport

I had an accident on the 12 April 2013, 3 days after picking up my new Jetta 6. Insurance approved repairs on the vehicle as damage wasn't extensive.

MF Autobody in Boksburg kept waiting for parts from VWSA. All parts, except for a dashboard, have arrived after 6 weeks. Now we waiting for the dashboard. VWSA didn't give an ETA on the part.

I phoned VWSA customer services and spoke to Zukiswa. She told me, after I phoned back a day later, that the part will only be here in September! That's 3 months time!

The Jetta is a mainstream car and not a hand built exotic, so how can it take soo long? Surely all the parts were ordered at once and if there was no stock, the stock should have been procured!

How can a part which is so vital to the car not be available in SA? Why should it take so long to get parts for a mainstream car.

Now I'm left begging for a car, very embarrassing!

VWSA cant even provide me with a courtesy vehicle until the stock arrives! Is that what you get for being loyal to the VW brand...

Very Disappointed Customer,
