General Motors South Africa
DISSAPOINTING BACK-UP SERVICE

Cars & Transport

I (used to) drive a Opel Corsa Essentia for the past two years bought brand new. This car has about 51 000 km on the clock. Just over two weeks ago I was travelling on one of the National Roads and I've had a blown gasket. The second problem with this car in a space of 2 years. The back up service by Thorpe Delta Plumstead South Africa is ridiculous and General Motors seems not to be interested in the problem. The dealership has been paid in full and therefore show no concern. I am battling to get around as I am incurring extra expense to travel. I have asked for the reason for the breakdown and nobody can give me a reason - even though the mechanics were working on it.

I have no alternative but to hand this matter over to an attorney as it seems as though neither Thorpe Delta (the dealership) nor General Motors take this matter serious enough. At least in court somebody will listen to me
