Beware : 3 YEAR warantee NOT realy 3 YEARS!!!

I own a 2010 fortuner - original putchased in OCT 2010.
Toyota phones me in Jan 2013 telling me that the warrantee expired :-o
3 Years warantee according to me should end Oct 2013 - not according to Toyota - they just 10 months worth of warantee from me :-(
Their explenation is that the vehicle came out the factory in Jan 2010 - thus the warantee expires Jan 2013 - what a lot of hog wash.

I am sure this is against the CPA act?

So please be aware - they try and you with the whole 3 year warantee thing - only time it is realy 3 years is if you buy a 2013 model in Jan 2013 - if you were to buy a 2012 model in 2013 - you end up with only a 2 Year warantee...
