Woodford Car Hire
Unserviceable vehicle

I booked my vehicle well in advance via cartrawler, and woodford car hire was recommended by the mentioned website. i paid my deposit and the booking was confirmed. with my arrival at cape town international aiport on the 14th february 2013, i went to woodford car rental company which allocted me the booked vehicle. at my arrival at the vehicle and inspection done to the vehicle the following was found: a. the vehicle were not cleaned. 2. the spare wheel were flat. 3. with checking around the vehicle it was found that the front left tyre were worn out and unsafe to drive.

no other vehicle were availible and i had to wait in the sun for an hour before the vehicle was returned to me with the spare wheel inflated and fitted to the left front wheel, and the left front wheel rotated to the spare wheel. needles to say that i had to inflate the front left tyre 3 times for the 2 days i visited cape town. because the spare wheel were the worn tyre originaly fitted to the vehicle and were unsafe to drive with.

is this company policy to make a vehicle in such un roadworthy condition? sitting on the pavement for an hour awating somebody to reply on what is next going to happen? It did
