I have owned 2 VW cars for 3 years and they have been exceptional vehicles...
I purchased a Brand new Jetta 1.4 DSG Comfortline from Claremont VW in Cape Town on the 28 March13 and I must say this was the most expensive vehicle that i have ever bought in my life.
It began giving me major mechanical and electrical problems 3 weeks after purchasing it.
Since then it has been in and out of Claremont VW in excess of 8 times to date and it usually goes in for repairs for a min a week waiting period and the maximum time it spent at the dealership was 13 weeks when it just broke down while I was driving from Worcester to Cape Town and I stood on the N1 for more than 3hrs waiting for help.
on the 22 Oct 13 I wrote an email to VWSA and told them that I have lost confidence in the car and I demand a replacement of the similar car but i was told on the 26th Nov 2013 that my car is ready for collection and I should pick it up, i went to pick the car and while driving the car i picked up that it has more problems than before and on the 18 Dec13 I took it back and told them that i dont want the vehicle anymore but on the 7 Jan 14 I was told the car is ready but I told them I dont want it
