Failure to deliver as promised

I do not use courier service everyday and when I do I try to use the ones that appear to have an established and reliable service such as DHL.

This week I had an urgent package to send to Hazyview in Mpumalanga, 8:00AM on Monday I went to DHL premises at Capital Hill in Midrand, I enquired on the fastest possible service that they had for delivery in this area. I was advised that there is a same day delivery and a next day delivery for domestic packages. I paid for what I expected to be a same day and if it was late then next day. Today 4 days later the package is still appearing on their tracking system as still in Johannesburg. Now my package is late, I've potentially lost money as a result of this.

During the same period I have packages via postnet to Port Nolloth, Polokwane and Oman, and all packages including the international have been delivered yet DHL has not delivered.

I am a bit disappointed at this falsified service non-delivery, I would expect this from smaller couriers who perhaps would be in desperate need of the cash but not DHL.

Not that DHL will miss me or my business, but I will not in anyway be shipping any items via DHL, ever.
