Criminals: charging 300% more than verbally agreed

The representative of the company at an auction I attended (Sunday 01 Dec), gave us a verbal quote for transport from White River to Johannesburg at R4, 000 for his smallest covered truck. He fully understood that the goods need to be removed by Tuesday day end from the premises of the auction, or we would lose them.

Having this knowledge, I assume he thought we were now "captive customers" and had no choice but to accept whatever final quotation he gave us, as the goods had to be moved. He quoted us at midday on Monday, R 12, 000 - being 300% increase to what he originally told as would be the "worst case scenario".

This company operates in Nelspruit primarily. Please be wary of such criminals - there are the worst type. They make promises and then break them, believing you have no alternative choice. To this clown, who and caused us lot of stress, in making last minute alternative arrangements, I would like you to know that we managed to get transport to Johannesburg, and it cost us R2, 500. You thought you had us trapped, please know your simple mind of making a quick buck will cause your business to fail - people will see what you stand for.
