10 days to return deposit

My insurance rented a car for me while mine was being repaired. I was to pay R750 deposit before taking the car. I had the car for 7 days, returned it to the designated area. Upon contacting the Avis call center to find out about my refund, I waited for 5 minutes before having my call answered. Was then told by a very impolite receptionist that it would take TEN working days to have my money refunded. When I replied that I had had the car for less time than that. Her response was oh well it's company policy. Ten working days is ridiculous. If cash is paid, cash should be returned. I returned the car on time, filled with petrol. My end if the deal is done, Avis, it appears will take 10 working days to get to theirs.
