Chasing after Avis for info on my fuel deposit

I got a rental car from AVIS (Isando branch) through my insurance on the 17/Oct/2013 and returned it on the 12/Nov/2013. I was told that I would get my R1000 fuel deposit refunded back to me. 3 days later I called and asked about it as the refund still had not happened. I was told that it may take up to 5 working days. I emailed Ms Dalgetty after a week to which she responded that she was about about to enter a meeting and would contact the bank. Nothing happened for 2 days. I then called back after 11 days and spoke to Ms Dalgetty who checked on the system and told me that monies amounting to approximately R750 had been deducted from my deposit due to traffic fines. I then asked to have them forwarded to me which she did indeed forward an informal, internal email thread from the relevant administrator.
To date, I have still received no formal statement or recon regarding the "behind the scenes" transactions on my R1000 fuel deposit. It seems that Avis are happy to send me a forwarded internal email with 4 attachments.
