I use Ram Couriers for almost a year now, at the beginning I was told cash clients are not covered by their insurance. I have accepted it and was very happy with Ram's Service. Until the 1st of October 2013, the vehicle that was transporting my parcel was hijacked and I have a lost a week's income. I spoke to Mandre John Pretorius to hear or there a possibility that least I can claim a portion of my costs to cover for that week. He told me to send email to him regarding my lost and then he will ask the insurance panel to look at the claim. The answer came back from Joshua Apfel that COMPANY POLICY is that cash clients are not covered by the insurance and I was told when I start using Ram. Okay fine I accepted that.
Today I ask for an application form to open an account. Only to get an email back saying COMPANY POLICY is you have to spend more than R5000-00 to open an account? How contradicting is that... YOU ARE NOT COVERED AS A CASH CLIENT BUT YOU MUST SPEND MORE than R5000-00 TO QUALIFY FOR AN ACCOUNT. I use ram every Monday for more than a year... doesn't that count for absolutely nothing. I lost R7200-00 for that week and all they can say is COMPANY POLICY...
