My fiance booked my car in for a 60 000 km service at Parow. We supplied them with numberplate/reg. no car was booked under its current motorplan. I declined wheel alignment offer and signed a form stating exactly that. NEVER was there any mention of the service not being on motor plan. After the service I was informed that the motor plan has expired and that I would have to pay R1388. I told the lady that I was not happy that they only informed me of extra costs AFTER they worked on my car. She apologised and admitted that it was her mistake and that Henno/Hanno only informed her when they already started with my car. Credit card was swiped - money I did not budget for. My fiance spoke to the manager (Peter), and he said that it is both the service provider and the client's responsibility to make sure the car is on plan. If they knew about the expired service plan and consequently the costs, why was I not informed? He also said that I signed a form consenting to cash payment - why would the lady then apologise profusely?
