I applied for vehicle finance through Hatfield VW. I then got a call saying that my application had been approved and that the monthly installment would be x. There was no mention of which banks they applied to, what rates the banks had offered as justification for the call. I then asked for further details regarding the banks they applied to, the exact rate that was quoted, the loan amount and the term of the loan as this would help me understand how they arrived at their numbers. This was when things went sour.

Karin, quoted me different numbers over the phone, email and on paper. The final offer she gave me had a different numbers to the quotation I received. This raised my eyebrows. My suspicions of her hiding something were confirmed when I made applications through other dealers. It seems they added an additional 1-1.5% above the bank's offer, hence the evasiveness and reluctance to give me the information I asked for. I cancelled the deal and asked them to cancel all bank applications. It took them over two weeks to do so.

For a company that prides itself in service I was left wanting. Instead I have doubts regarding the integrity of the firm and the way they do busines
