I ordered some items from a supplier in Durban for delivery in the Northern Cape. (Near Kimberley)
I paid delivery fees for the FDX1 service with the understanding that Kimberley will receive the parcel within 24 hours of it being shipped with final delivery occurring within 24 hours later. (at most). This is stated clearly in the terms and conditions on the Supaswift website.
I placed the order with the above mentioned time frames in mind, knowing that should FedEx comply with their own committed time frames, I should receive my parcel on time. I have gone ahead and made arrangements that can only be met if FedEx meets their committed delivery dates.
Today I found out that FedEx can not meet their own delivery deadlines - claiming that my area is only serviced on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I have committed significant resources on the basis that I will have the parcel on time as agreed.
I am bitterly disappointed - and at a huge loss.
