Renault South Africa
Bad Service

Cars & Transport

I've traded in my Renault Megane 2010 spec for Clio Rs 2009 spec on the 24th of June2013. I only drove the car for 34 days until I started encountering problems with the car. My first issue was the car had a rattling noise coming from the engine. When I took the car to the dealer, they diagnosed it as the manifold had cracked and required a new replacement. I questioned why this was not picked up when the 101 point check was done on the car and was advised that this could have cracked at any given time and they would therefore not assist me in terms of a replacement. I parked the car at home for 2 and half weeks as to raise funds to get a new manifold. Now that i have managed to fix my manifold, it was diagnosed that my bottom engine mounting as worn off. I enquired this with the dealer looking for a forward. Again no assistance from the dealer or accountablity. To me this is unacceptable customer service, I left telephone messages and I sent an email with no responses and no returned calls from the dealer. For a dealer that has a slogan '110% committed to you', my experience says otherwise.
