Shocking and Dreadful Service

Cars & Transport

I bought a new Polo Bluemotion 1.2 TDI from Hatfield VW Braamfontein. The car has been giving me continuous problems. The diesel particle filter light and the engine management light comes on. The turbo disconnects itself from the engine and the car completely loses all power. I have taken the car back twice to the dealer with this problem and all they do is clear the message and return the car back to me. I have tried explaining that the problem is recurrent and there needs to be something replaced but the dealership refuses to assist. they say that VW SA will not allow them to fix the problem and all they can do is clear the message. This nonchalant behaviour and callous disregard for safety seems to be the motto of this branch. The car breaking down on the freeway with my wife and infant son in it is a reality that i most fear! The car is still under warranty but they will not do anything to fix the problem. The workshop even refuses to actually look at the component that indicates the fault, they say it will cost to much for them to open up the engine and get to the offending part. However if the car was out of warranty, they would happily claim any unnecessary fault and bill the custome
