Toyota
Toyota 86 defective motor vehicle

Miscellaneous

On the 23/10/2012 I purchased a mv which already had 290km on the clock. When driving this mv back to dbn to have the kit rectified, the engine light and oil light came on. The car lost power and started stalling. We immediately drove to Malanda to be told this this is the 2nd mv for the morning to have done the same. The mv was left with them as they were not sure what the problem was. On the 1/11/2012 they called to say the mv can be collected. They had not rectified the engine light problem, only the oil light by changing the oil. We were asked to bring it back to them to recitify. When it was collected from us on the 28/1/2013 due to the part taking long to arrive, the ECU had been replaced and the mv brought back. This time the was a huge noise coming from the engine and the ABS lights on, the aribag light on and the engine light on. I phoned them to enquire what the problem was. They said they needed to test drive the car, which the did only to that the mv sounded like a tractor. They collected the mv on the 4/2/2013 kept it for the week, brought it back. The car is not performing, is sluggish and cannot be used manuelly. They have refused to take back this defective MV.
