Our car was sent to Cartime to replace the engine, we were quoted R45 000 for this. Up to this date my Avanza never gave us a day of trouble. We had many incidents where we were told the car would be ready and get there, just to go back without a car - time and again. We had the car for approximately two weeks when it had to go back for a service (at Cartime, due to the guarantee with them). This was supposed to be a 1-day job. It is now 12 days later and I still don't have my car back. There is a problem with the oil, they have no idea what is wrong and cannot commit to a date. In the meantime I cant get to work, my kids can't get to school and the manager (and owner) refuse a replacement car or a rental car to accommodate us.
I don't get this. They mistake is on their part, but for some reason they make it our problem and my husband have to take off work every day (Edwin Swales) to drop the kids and myself in Hillcrest, fetch them again lunch time and get me from work in Drummond at 4pm. EVERY DAY.
This is ridiculous and unacceptable and I would like to find out what our consumer rights are!
