Damaged Car Sold

Cars & Transport

I purchased Kia Picanto EX as a used car from Huyndai Cresta. The initial service given and promises gone back on was terrible and very stressful. I was assured the car was clean and never in an accident. The car went back several times as the central locking never has worked properly. I gave up trying to get it fixed. Then after a few months the car which had made a "noise" and I was told it was tar noise started shuddering to the point of being almost undriveable. I contacted Hyundai and they arranged to get Kia Centurion to do and assessment of the problem. It was established the BOTH shafts were bent and that they would cost over R12k to be fixed. The back seat belts were also damaged. A car was given on loan and car taken to Cresta to be assessed. I called on Tuesday as I had not heard anything and I was told the DP had left and had to speak to Mr Ross. He had absolutely no knowledge of the matter. This was a car purchased for cash. Called Hyundai Head Office and they told me in a nut shell they can do nothing much. All I wanted was a reliable car and no and I got more than I bargined for. I have no idea where I stand and what in excess of R50k bought me!!
