New I20 - RUSTING

Cars & Transport

I purchased a brand new I20 Hyundai in January 2012 from Hyundai Cresta only to notice that the brand new vehicle I purchased has rust on it. When I took it for the service at Hyundai Weltevreden and showed them the rust they were stunned, never the less they said I need to report it to where I had the vehicle serviced previously. I then sent it back to Hyundai Bedforview and they took photo's and sent it for an assessment, after reporting it to the customer care they advised they couldnt do anything about the rust and was told I need to report it to the dealer I bought the vehicle from. I then called Hyundai Cresta and advised them of the issue, Ubit the dealer principle at the time said I should take the vehicle to Hyundai Randburg and speak to Fayaaz or Herman which I did. The car was then sent to the panel beater and a report came back to say the car is rusting. They advised that they would fix this. The car has been with Hyundai for 2 weeks now and inside the roof lining it is rusting too, I was told that the roof lining needs to be replaced but warranty will not cover this as warranty on the interior is expired! I find this unacceptable and I will be taking this furthe
