Cmh Citroen
80 point check & roadworty done, but vehicle unsafe

Cars & Transport

I bought a citroen C2.When I had a look at the vehicle I checked everything and just had a quick look at the tyres thread. What I did not see, which must have been maybe the poor lighting inside the show room was that the tyres had cracks all over the side walls and signs of deterioration was visible. I had a tyre blow out because of this, luckily I was driving at that moment, if it had been my wife the vehicle could have overturned. I had to install new tyres on the vehicle, and the cradle had to be adjusted and this came to R3800.Now I phoned the dealer to ask for at least halve the money back, because I was assured that the vehicle would go through a 80 point check and this should have been picked up if a quality check was done. They probably gave the previous owner less for the vehicle because of the tyre condition and now I had to pay for new tyres. The excuse by the dealer was the vehicle went through road worthy and they will not assist. Now this is very good after sale service. If I saw this on the sale I would not have bought this vehicle if new tyres were not installed. The quality on their so called checks is bad, the safety of the customer they received there money!!!
