Refusal to replace Fortuners diesel fuel filte

Hillcrest Toyota refused to replace my 2011 Toyota Fortuners' diesel filter which blocked up at 55000 kms, despite doing the recent 50000 kms and all previous services. The vehicle was also bought new from them. The excuse is that SA diesel is dirty. (no other manufacturers seem to have a problem and/or replace filters regularly on the service plan)
The decision to replace these filters IS at the service centre's discretion and for vehicles regulary serviced by that dealer.
I did advise their customer service gent that another Toyota dealer indicated they would replace this filter free of charge, even though I was not their customer.
I was still told that Hillcrest Toyota would not assist me as a regular customer!
It seems that saving money is more important than customer service.!

Compliments to Durban South Toyota who were professional and kept their word and a customer happy. They have also gained a new customer and probably sell me a new vehicle soon.

Needless to say, I will no longer deal with Hillcrest Toyota, and WELL DONE Durban South Toyota.
