Cant extend the rental vehicle??

Called the branch yesterday to extend the vehicle for a day, they said it was ok to extend. Then I phoned again today to extend the vehicle again due to an emergency and am told that they couldn't debit the credit card because the driver needs to come in and use the speed point- AND THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN IN BREACH SINCE YESTERDAY!!! No-one from the call centre called to explain this yesterday, I am only told when I try to extend it again AND to top it all off am told that should anything happen to the vehicle the driver is fully liable because they cant take credit card details over the phone?? How, in an emergency, can the driver drive all the way to the airport to extend it?? And also why doesn't the debtors department respond to emails when I request changes to bank details? The reservation number is 162743363 and no we will not pay should anything happen to the vehicle as it could have been extended yesterday had they called.
