30 minutes of rental equals to 1 full day rate?

Hello Peter,
On 8 August 2013 I made a car rental booking through kulula with Europcar and I was quoted R977 from 9 Aug to 12 Aug; I took the car on the 9th at 14:30 because my booking was for 15:00 and I returned the car on the 12th Aug at 15:02 and I am being charged a full day rental fee (R362) on the invoice that I just received from them. I then called their customer service line to find out what was hapening and was told that I brough the car back 30 minutes late and that is why I am being charged a full day rate. I feel that this is unfair and is a rip off by the rental company. It's not like I brought back the car an hour later or I had used it for the whole day of the 12th; I have also only done 231km with the car for the whole weekend while I was in Cape Town and I made sure that the car was well kept as it came back without any damages. I would like to have the 30 minutes charge on the rental to be reversed as I believe in fair play as a customer, this has dented my experience with the rental company and I do not think that I will in future be able to do business with them.
