Partially billed for rental despite 30 day policy

My car went in to the panel beater and I got a rental vehicle from Avis. I have a 30 day rental car cover in my vehicle insurance and despite this, Mutual and Federal only initially approved a 14 day cover. My car was not ready before these 14 days were up and M&F did not extend the rental lease in time and I got billed R236. When Mr Jonas did extend my cover, the billing had already gone through on my card. I called Mr Jonas and asked him why this is my problem as I pay for a 30 day cover and I am not Avis's client, M&F is the client. He told me that there was nothing that he could do and that it was someone else at Avis that had to refund me. Its been over 3 week and I am still yet to be refunded.
