Chev Corsa Utility Issue

Cars & Transport

I took my 2011 chev utility 1.4i to Thorp Plumstead cape town so that they could fix the flat spot/surge issue which I have been experiencing everyday after the vehicle stands for a few hours. It hesitates on acceleration and drops revs. The vehicle has 15000kms mileage. They did a software upgrade but it did not solve the problem. I returned it the following week only to be told that they cannot fix the problem. Riaan (Possibly the Supervisor) said that according to the specs of this vehicle and the letter (which I was not allowed to copy as proof) which he has received from the technical guys said that "this "flat spot/surge"issue is a characteristic of this model". And he said there's nothing that I can do about this problem. He also said that some of these chev corsa models have this flat spot/surge problem and that I am not the only client with this problem.
I say if this is a characteristic of this specific vehicle then why is it that only a few of these models have this issue. Shouldn't they all have this issue?
I'm disappointed in Thorp Plumstead. What is the use of a warrantee if they cannot fix the problem.
On the bright side... they fixed my passenger door central locking.
