I purchase a Go-moto 150 scooter for cash a few months back.
Last Thursday I asked for a a quote to repair slight accident damage.
Extreme machines ensured they would call me with a quote which never materialised. I eventiually called them back.
I accepted the quote for repairs (in the region of R 3086) and notified them by e-mail that I accept and they could go ahead.
They are now in possession of the scooter.
They admin person now tells me that they require 50% of the quote up front before they will repair the bike. I find it is insulting to a customer of my standing. If I dont pay they can withold the bike, not very difficult to understand. I am told that I should have checked the sign "behind the counter" as it clearly explains that this is "managements" policy. Absolutely absurd.

One would think that given an opportunity, extreme machines would jump at the chance to carry out the repairs to the customers satisfaction and then ask for payment as is normal

At no point, either verbally or in writing was it made clear/conveyed to me that a 50% deposit was required before they would commence any work on my behalf.

Shocking service and a sure way to lose customers.
