Ford
NEW CAR - BATTERY EXPECTANCY 1 YR

Cars & Transport

I have never had problems with my vehicle, recently sent in for a service. until yesterday morning when my car did not want to start and again today. I contacted Ford and it was confirmed the battery needs to be replaced this will be subject to the warranty. Which in turn I will have to carry the cost to replace. My argument stands beyond the warranty agreement as the vehicle was purchased brand new July of last year... in saying this the life expectancy on a typical battery should vary from 3 to 5 years maybe a little longer subject to usage, etc. But my Ford Focus is a year>>> Please explain to me why the battery has not lasted at least another 2 years. The value of the car is almost 300K, I question the rubbish parts that are used in Fords vehicles. Very unhappy customer... will surely reconsider every purchasing a Ford in the future.
