Speedy Tyre & Fitment
The slippery slope - 101

Cars & Transport

In 2010 Speedy replaced my mothers car shocks because the old ones were shot. The warranty for the shocks expires on 2013/06/21. On 2013/06/18, my mother (a pensioner) went to Speedy & was told that the shocks needed to be replaced again. The warranty has less than a week remaining and according to Speedy it was unlikely that a claim would be honored.
They told my mother this and that this was her choice. Fair enough.
She decided to replace the shocks at her own expense on their expert opinion.
My view is that the shocks were stuffed before their time and that Speedy and/or their supplier shouldn't advertise a 3 year warranty if it doesn't last 3 years (or if they will dispute it if nearing the end of the warranty period).
