Waiting over 3 weeks to get shocks replaced

Cars & Transport

On 31 October 2013 I bought 2 rear shocks from McDuling VW in Booyesens, I took the shocks to the mechanic to have them fitted, only to find that they were faulty/damaged. The one shock had seized up and the pistol did not have any movement whatsoever, whilst the other one did not have any compression at all as it would just slide up and down effortlessly. I then took them back to the dealer (McDulings VW) where upon inspection by Brandon I was suddenly accused of having damaged the shocks myself, and was told that they would not take them back to the factory as a result. Afternoon having had a conversation with with Faizel (Parts Manager) and explained the situation it was decided that the shocks would be taken back to the factory for inspection and that it would be decided there whether they would make a warranty claim or not. It has been over three weeks now and I have not heard a work or received any feedback of what is going on. Needless to say that I will be going on holiday since it is the festive season and now I have to drive with worn shocks which is very dangerous. I went to VW for my shocks because I trusted them with their genuine parts, but they have failed me.
