4 months to get vehicle repaired

Cars & Transport

At the end of December my vehicle light displayed that there was a fault with the ABS. I took my car in and was told that the battery needed replacing, which was done. As soon as I got back into my car the light came on again. So I left the car with them. They then came back to me (after numerous phone calls on my part) & said that there was a fault with the part & that it needed to be ordered from Japan and would take 3 months to get here. The part arrived just before Christmas so and I was told that it would be ready on 07/01/2013. A few days after that I decided to call them as I hadn't heard anything and was told that the part had arrived and that it was faulty. A new part has now been ordered and will only be here on 08/02/2013. Then they still need to fit the part etc. I have very little confidence in the people working on my car, if they had done their jobs in the first place they would have found the fault in September when I first took my car in. It is now 17/01/2013 and by the time the new part has arrived and been fitted it will have been 4 months.
