Renew-it Edenvale
Non functioning Battery

Cars & Transport

I took my car to renew-it on the 20th March and only received it on the 7th May 2013. My issue is that when I went to fetch my car on the 7th, my car was parked outside and we came to inspect it. We found the car idlying so we took out the keys and inspected the car. When we were about to leave we started the car and it was dead. It could not start at all. I went to report inside that the car is not starting and they said they will help us. They had to jump-start it and we left thinking the battery will be fine. We drove about 12 kilos and by the time we reached home the battery was still very flat. We left the car on for two hours and still the battery was flat, it runs when on but the minute it is switched off it becomes dead does not even switch on a light on the dashboard. My problem is that I took a car that never had battery problems to renew it and now my battery does not function. I reported this to my insurance and they were told that I have to produce proof that my battery was new before they can even listen to me.
