First National Battery
Battery Centre blaiming car for bad battery

Cars & Transport

After putting a new battery in last year January, I found that the "new" battery is dead this weekend. We jump started the car and had my wife to take it back to where I bought it last year.
She was met by Daniel who had a very attitude claiming the battery is fine. He then proceeded to tell my wife that there is a current draw from the battery when the car is switched off. When I queried what the current draw was he said that the terminals sparked when he reconnected the battery? He does not have the equipment and only relies on the size of the spark? I tried to explain to him that their will be a current draw due to the interior lights, clock etc, but he did not want to hear about it.

He then put the battery on a machine to test it and proclaimed that it passed. He then proceeded to remove the sticker and filled the so called sealed/maintenance free battery with water.

If the battery passed why did he fill it with water?
If there was a current draw on the vehicle when switched off the battery will slowly degrade, and not just fail to turn the engine after being driver 3 hours prior to it.
The alternator output was tested and verified.

This battery needs to be replaced
