Ronat Nissan
Trade-in amount incorrect on offer to purchase

Cars & Transport

I got a trade-in value of R275000 for my Nissan x-trail. It was a trade-in on a Pajero swb 2004. I was asked to sign an Offer to Purchase for the Pajero. Nowhere on this OTP it showed an amount as trade-in for the Nissan as I was made to believe that the OTP was about getting the Pajero and had nothing to do with the Nissan. I am not a car dealer and do not know which figures are to be on an OTP and which not. There are many open spaces on the OTP.When I asked about the trade-in value I was assured that it was R275000 and that this amount would be reflected in my contract which I would sign on the day of delivery of the Pajero. I was never given any copies of the signed documents as I was told that it would be forwarded to me by email which also never happened. In this deal was R50000 cash back which was shown on the OTP but it was never paid out to me. I got suspicious and called the dealer about the trade-in amount he again assured me that it was correct as R275000 and that my copies will come via email and that the R50000 would show in bank account soon. When I finally got a copy of the OTP the incorrect trade-in amount of R240000 showed and it appears to be in another hand writing
