Good Day, I am not impressed with the turnaround time the Cassel and Co. staff take to reply to prospective candidates. In my case, I responded to an ad for a Temp Controller in Midrand on September the 26th and received the following automated reply:

Hi Robert McLeod, Thank you for applying for this position. Your application was sent to Cassel and Company.
A follow up email on the 1st of October with an enquiry regarding the temp controller position. Finally, on the 5th of October, I received a reply from Portia Tsotetsi, telling me that the position had already been filled. Why am I not surprised. As far as I'm concerned, replies should take up to 2 working days - maximum. If this cannot be attained, then Casel and Co. should either hire more staff to sift through the applications, or fire the incompetents. Given the willingness of candidates and employers to commence work asap, I find 9 days which Cassel and Co. took to languish, and then finally reply to a prospective candidate, completely inexcusable. Curiously enough, this very position was still being advertised over the internet as at 5 Oct!
