Shockingly unprofessional HR department!

I am a chartered accountant currently working in manufacturing & I've been trying to get into financial services for the last 6 months. Currently it's not easy to get in to banking. I was finally contacted by Wesbank in September for an interview for a financial manager position within the bank.

Jennifer Slaughter (PA?) sent me an e-mail at 9:15am to phone her to arrange an interview time. I phoned her back 5 minutes later at which point she advised me that my interview was scheduled for 9:30am that morning! She had forgotten to contact me to let me know. She promised me that she would arrange another interview for me within that week as well as ask HR to forward me some specific details of the position.

Of course she never did. I contacted her again a few times after that & every time she just said she'll ask HR to contact me. They never did. A few phone calls later I eventually got hold of Elmarie Grant (HR consultant), who said the position had been filled, but advised me to apply for a different FM position online. I applied for another FM position online. I didn't even get an interview.

So thanks Jennifer Slaughter for ruining my chances of working at Wesbank!
